Travel Safety and COVID-19 Peace of Mind Measures

1. Remind passengers to fasten their seat belts at all times while riding on the tour bus and check in advance that the locations of fire extinguishers, window breakers, escape windows, escape doors, escape skylights and the surrounding escape routes are clear.
2. To ensure the safety of tour buses, please observe the “Important Safety Requirements for the Use of Tour Buses”. Tour bus drivers are not allowed to drive for more than 10 hours per day, and should take a break of at least 30 minutes after 4 hours of driving. For single-day rental vehicles, a single driver may not be deployed for more than 11 hours from the time the vehicle reports for duty to the end of the trip. For journeys of more than two days, the driver shall take a break of at least 10 hours on every other day of the journey and shall be provided with a proper night-time rest environment for one driver and one room.
3. Choose legal recreational and lodging facilities for better travel safety.

Exemption from home quarantine for entry into Taiwan

With the development of the epidemic becoming stable and controllable, Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center, after evaluating the capacity of domestic epidemic prevention and medical treatment, has exempted all incoming personnel from home quarantine from 00:00 on October 13, 2022, but they are still required to undergo a “7-day independent quarantine”, which means that Taiwan is gradually resuming its normal pace of life and heading towards a new life of epidemic prevention.

Flexible Fitting of Domestic Travel Masks

On February 20, 2023, the following general regulations will be implemented to relax the wearing of indoor masks, as described below:

Masks must be worn throughout the indoor spaces of the following designated venues:

1. Health Care Organizations: Medical, Medical Services, Elderly Welfare, Long-Term Care Services, Honorary National Home, Children and Youth Services, and Welfare Organizations for the Physically and Mentally Handicapped.
2. Public Transportation and Specific Vehicles: Vehicles and stations such as carriages, ships and aircrafts.

Exceptions to not wearing a mask in the designated places listed above: eating and drinking, taking photographs, examinations, treatments or activities in which masks are not appropriate or cannot be worn.

The following special scenarios recommend wearing a mask:

1. Have a fever or respiratory symptoms
2. When the elderly or immunocompromised go out
3. Where crowds are gathering and it is impossible to keep a proper distance or where ventilation is poor
4. Close contact with elderly or immunocompromised persons (especially those who have not received full vaccination)

For the rest of the indoor venues and indoor spaces, it is up to the public to decide to wear masks.

Starting from February 20, 2023, the service staff of Leading Travel Agency, including the housekeeping staff and external staff, will take over the self-management of body temperature. If they are not feeling well, they have to notify the company and adopt the home quarantine, and will be released from the home quarantine after the quick screening is negative.
